WELCOME
Hello! my name is Jenna and I am a multidisciplinary artist, professional art therapist and therapeutic counsellor practicing on the unceded Lək̓ʷəŋən, Songhees, Esquimalt first nations territory, Victoria BC. I am passionate about making art therapy accessible and low-barrier for people to notice how we are all inherently creative and how art making can enhance our quality of life.
I operate within a feminist and relational framework that instilled my dedication to strive for decolonial and anti-oppressive ways to create comfort and safety in the spaces and groups I facilitate.
I work alongside young adults, elders to explore emotions, identity, culture, and ancestral connections through art-making, while holding awareness of systemic and intergenerational impacts.
By co-creating spaces for connection, expression, and reflection, I support people in strengthening self-understanding, community belonging, and resilience through creativity.
These are uncertain times, and I believe that gathering to make art—together or with a trusted person—is a quiet but powerful act of community building, solidarity, and self care. Art is life-affirming, and it ripples outward into the communities we belong to.
Art Therapy Offers:
A place to connect with who we are, without ‘fixing’ anything. We are shaped by our culture, history and systems around us. We can gently explore what belongs to you and what may have come from outside influences. In practice this looks like co-creating a space where your identity is seen, respected and reclaimed!
Healing through connection with our bodies, and each other! By slowing down, creating and being witnessed by others we can (re)connect with our bodies and feel less isolated.
A chance to build resiliency through creativity! Making art can foster expression, offer a space to practice adapting, problem solving and imagining new possibilities. Your creativity can be used as a tool for coping, decision making, and hope. These practices strengthen flexibility, confidence, and the ability to navigate real life challenges.
